BarnX Technology Inc. ("BarnX," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our website, communicate with us, request information, or use our services, including Qrown.app, Feed Cowdemy, and Hoof Cowdemy.
In this Privacy Policy, "personal information" means information about an identifiable individual, as defined under applicable privacy law. This Privacy Policy applies to our public website and marketing activities and to our products and services, except where a separate agreement or a customer's own privacy policy governs the handling of personal information.
This Privacy Policy is intended to align with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws, including provincial privacy legislation such as Quebec's Law 25 where it applies. Where BarnX processes personal information on behalf of a customer, that processing is also governed by the applicable customer agreement (see Section 6).

The information we collect depends on how you interact with BarnX.
Information you provide
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
- your name;
- business or organization name and job title;
- email address and telephone number;
- business type, operation size, and location;
- product interest and the nature of your inquiry, including the operational problem you are trying to solve;
- account and login information;
- information submitted through our contact, intake, demo request, or support forms;
- communications, support requests, and related correspondence;
- billing and transaction information; and
- other information you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically
When you use our website or services, we may collect technical and usage information, including:
- IP address;
- browser and device type;
- operating system;
- pages and features accessed;
- dates and times of access;
- referring website;
- error and diagnostic information; and
- security and authentication activity.
We may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate, secure, and improve our website and services. Where required, we will obtain consent before using non-essential cookies, such as optional analytics.
Customer data
Customers and authorized users may submit business and operational information through BarnX products and services, including Qrown.app, Feed Cowdemy, and Hoof Cowdemy. Depending on the product, this information may relate to users and personnel, customers and accounts, orders and deliveries, inventory and bin or feed data, feed and ration operations, livestock and herd health records, support requests, and other information entered into the platform.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the legal authority to provide information to BarnX.
2. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and secure our website and services;
- create and administer accounts;
- authenticate users and manage permissions;
- respond to inquiries and support requests;
- respond to demo requests and follow up about them;
- process transactions and administer customer relationships;
- diagnose technical problems and improve service performance;
- prevent fraud, unauthorized access, misuse, and security threats;
- send account, security, billing, and service-related communications;
- send marketing or product communications where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent;
- comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations; and

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Where consent is required, we obtain consent appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances. Depending on the context, consent may be express or implied as permitted by applicable law.

Service providers are expected to use information only as necessary to provide services to BarnX and to protect it using appropriate privacy, confidentiality, and security measures.
5. Data location and international processing
BarnX may use service providers located in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions.
As a result, personal information may be stored or processed outside your province or country and may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement, and government authorities in those jurisdictions.
Where a customer agreement includes a specific data residency commitment, that commitment will apply to the relevant customer environment.
6. Processing on behalf of customers
Where BarnX processes information on behalf of a customer, the customer generally determines what information is submitted and how it is used. In those circumstances, the customer acts as the organization accountable for that information, and BarnX acts as a service provider processing it on the customer's behalf.
BarnX processes customer data to provide, support, secure, maintain, and administer the services, subject to the applicable customer agreement.
Individuals seeking access to or correction of information controlled by a BarnX customer may need to direct their request to that customer.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide and support our services;
- maintain customer and business records;
- meet security, backup, and operational requirements;
- comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations;
- resolve disputes; and
- enforce agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal requirements and backup retention processes.
8. Security
BarnX uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss, or disposal.
No internet-based service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, controlling access to their accounts, and notifying BarnX promptly of suspected unauthorized activity.

9. Access and correction
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information that BarnX holds about you and request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. In certain circumstances, access may be limited or refused where permitted or required by law, and we will explain the reasons where we are able to do so.
10. Automated processing
Some features of our website and services use automated processing. For example, our intake tools may suggest a product that fits the information you provide, and certain products include automated or AI-assisted functionality to support operational tasks.
These tools are designed to assist, not to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional information about automated processing and any applicable rights.
11. Third-party links and services
Our website and services may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing personal information.
12. Privacy and security incidents
BarnX maintains procedures for assessing and responding to suspected privacy and security incidents.
Where required by applicable law or contract, BarnX will notify affected customers, individuals, regulators, or other appropriate parties.
13. Children
BarnX provides business software and services. Our website and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through our public website.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, practices, or legal obligations.
The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice of material changes.
